Jon Bradshaw

Jon has played guitar in several Melbourne bands, from Rock n Roll to blues, country roots and acoustic, playing guitar and being main vocalist for The Kultivators.

Since 1999 Jon has mostly worked with Doc at Doublehard as production assistant and music arranger, recording Demo's for bands as well as several corporate advertisements and presentations. Jon and Doc also wrote and recorded the soundtrack for the movie

"A bullet in the arse" that won 2nd prize at the Melbourne underground film festival and went on to gain wide international distribution.

Doc Nelson

Doc plays drums with The Kultivators Doc had mainly worked as stage and or sound technician for bands like Midnight Oil etc. Wanting to move into producing started doublehardiscrecording, in 1998.

After working with Jon for several years, they formed “The Kultivators” in 2003 and played gigs including a Live to air at PBS. Have been recording the CD “Ricketty, Raggedy and Downright Feral” during 2006 and ready for more gigs in 2007.

James Mackenzie

James is from a theatrical background having performed in over 130 odd plays (not “odd plays” Plays, musicals etc). James joined Dec’ 2005 to replace the former bass player.

James plays Bass and keyboards with The Kultivators, also backing up Jon with vocals and a song or two of his own that he is main vocalist for. James began his band career in bands such as Beetroot and Punk Brother Dean and is heavily influenced by Lemmy, Geordie Leach of Rose Tattoo, and Tim Hemmensly aka; The Powder Monkeys.
